NAD+ (nicotinamide adenine dinucleotide; molecular formula C21H27N7O14P2) is a coenzyme found in all living cells, central to redox reactions and mitochondrial energy production. In laboratory settings it is used to study cellular metabolism, sirtuin activity and DNA-repair signaling pathways.
Laboratory Research Focus
NAD+ is applied in cell-culture models of metabolic flux, mitochondrial function and cellular aging. Researchers examine its role as an electron carrier and as a substrate for sirtuin and PARP-mediated signaling.
- Redox metabolism Used to trace NAD+/NADH ratios in cellular respiration assays.
- Sirtuin signaling Studied alongside sirtuin-mediated deacetylation pathways.
- DNA repair Examined as a substrate in PARP-dependent repair models.
NAD+ Research Compound
Why BondPep
- Third-party analytical release Every batch runs reverse-phase HPLC with UV detection and ESI-MS identity check by an independent laboratory before it enters inventory.
- Lot records retained online Each vial links to its own batch number; the corresponding HPLC and ESI-MS record is available in the lot lookup page.
- Cold-chain handled Material is climate-controlled from receipt to dispatch, with insulated packaging for temperature-sensitive orders.
- Same-day dispatch In-stock orders leave the facility within 24 hours on business days, tracked to your destination.
Reconstitution & Storage
Reconstitute with sterile bacteriostatic water before laboratory use. Allow the diluent to reach room temperature and inject it slowly down the inner vial wall; do not shake or vortex. Roll the vial gently until the solution is clear and uniform.
Store unopened lyophilized powder at −20°C, protected from light. Once reconstituted, keep refrigerated at 2–8°C and use promptly. Handle with appropriate PPE in a certified laboratory setting.
